About the Role:

Dow Jones is seeking an organized individual for a Treasury internship. You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in treasury functions, financial systems, and technology. This internship would be ideal for individuals studying finance, accounting, or information systems who want to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting.

This role is hybrid, based in our Princeton office.

You Will:

  • Learn Treasury and Financial Processes: You'll gain an understanding of how treasury functions impact Dow Jones and its shared services, which will help you see the big picture of corporate finance.
  • Analysis of Treasury Technology: You'll review the current treasury systems and their interaction with other financial systems, giving you exposure to the tools used in corporate finance.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: You'll contribute to brainstorming sessions to improve current processes and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Daily Cash Application via our Treasury Workstation: Handle daily cash transactions and their application to the General Ledger will give you hands-on experience with cash management.
  • Credit Card Processing: Work with IT and Enterprise Tech on credit card processing will provide cross-functional experience, particularly with financial technology.

You Have:

  • At least one year of school completed and are working toward a Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent Excel and Google Suite skills
  • General knowledge of data mapping and configuration
  • General knowledge of accounting principles
  • Traits of a Self-starter
  • Good interpersonal skills
