Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking highly motivated, creative and skilled candidates for an Entry-Level Fabrication Specialist - Hand Finisher (Night Shift) position to join our production team environment, which will support our Boeing manufacturing facility in Helena, Montana.

This position will work closely with manufacturing operations and assembly to produce hard metal airplane part details and assemblies for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

The ideal candidate will have a background in hand finishing parts, use of hand tools, mechanical ability and machining while working in a collaborating and teaming environment with the ability to improve the daily work and quality improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Hand finish and edge break of aluminum, stainless & titanium production parts.
  • Utilize and follow standardized work and step details required for production parts and assemblies.
  • Assists real time problem solving to understand and determine the true root cause to eliminate all defects and improve the product, process or system.
  • Assists and verifies that all parts are inspected prior to closing an operation so we do not pass on any defects to our downstream customers.
  • Support a culture that is committed to continuous improvement.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Willingness to work variable shifts and overtime as needed to support production.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs; Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs; Occasional carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, walking, standing, balancing; Frequent reaching overhead and at or above shoulder; Frequent sitting.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 3 months experience in Aerospace, Mechanics, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

Summary Pay Range: $37,380 - 42,000
