About The Role & Program

Disney’s Linear Ad Operations team is seeking interns, who will be an exceptional addition to our Disney Advertising Sales Operations team on one or more of our exciting brands. These brands are composed of The Walt Disney Company’s global entertainment and news television properties, owned television stations, as well as radio and publishing businesses. This includes the ABC Television Network, ABC Owned Television Stations Group, ABC Studios, ESPN, Hulu, Disney Channels Worldwide, Freeform, FX and National Geographic.

Linear Ad Operations leads the operational function for the Disney Ad Sales team.

The Ad Operations team focuses on the functions of account management, trafficking, scheduling and sponsorship business for all Disney networks. We are committed to providing a high level of client service to our internal and external clients. We are looking for people who are excited to contribute to a high-performing team. The program dates are June 8th through August 14, 2026.

What You Will Do

Interns will work closely with the Ad Operations team members and sales teams. You will be assisting with leading and managing television Ad Sales accounts from booking to invoicing. The ideal candidate for this role thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced collaborative environment. The intern will maintain and develop strong working relationships with buying, creative and traffic agencies and internal departments supporting Customer Marketing and Sales. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with handling all deal account management and maintenance for assigned advertisers. This includes being a day-to-day point of contact for ad agencies and sales teams, booking commercial inventory, implementing agency requests and changes for their ad schedules, and ensuring accuracy with deal points and traffic instructions

  • Ensuring deal dollars are booked and consistent to what the advertiser purchased. Resolve invoice discrepancies to further our network collection target of 75 Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), improving company cash flow

  • Partnering with Accounting team to execute pricing adjustments and other invoice adjustments as needed

  • Working with Planning partners to ensure the accuracy of materials and provide the agency and/or client with insights into their delivery on a quarterly basis, or as needed

  • Collaborating with the Traffic team as needed, to ensure booked inventory corresponds to the traffic instructions received, escalating with the buying agency and sales when required, and ensuring that agency positioning and programming needs are met.

  • Responding to evolving business needs, and tasks/projects set forth by management and adhere to all department’s Service Level Agreements

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Able to operate within the context of highly defined, routine processes and procedures adhering to organizational deadlines

  • Proven leadership & problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of Disney’s multimedia properties

  • Experienced working both independently and collaboratively with a team

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment

  • An affinity for the brands and franchises of The Walt Disney Company

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Understanding of Ad Sales overall

  • Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry

Education

  • Junior or Senior year preferred 

  • Major or previous coursework in Advertising, Business, Marketing or related major preferred   

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:  

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

  •  Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants:  You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

  • Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York City area

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as
