Job Description

As a Package Design and Development Quality Assurance (DDQA) Data Analytics Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for understanding the processes used to assess and mitigate risks related to the introduction of new package technologies so that you can improve efficiency and effectiveness by implementing automation, data analysis and machine learning/AI solutions.  The work includes set up of data bases, developing data ingestion pipelines, and implementing automated data analysis and reporting tools.  You may support problem solving and risk assessment for internal or customer quality issue by pulling and analyzing data.  You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of technology at Micron through mentoring, publishing technical papers (internal and external), and developing innovative solutions to challenging problems.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Implement Automation, Data Analysis, and AI Solutions

  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to Map Package DDQA processes and data streams.
  • Set up and optimize databases and develop solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Understand the needs of internal customers and develop solutions

Support Problem Solving and Risk Assessment for Quality Issues

  • Pull relevant product information, manufacturing data, and reliability data based on given problem statements.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to determine the appropriate dataset and treatment required to answer questions posed by problem solving teams.  This could include producing data visualizations, machine learning models, statistical inferences, and web applications.
  • Provide recommendations about root cause findings and product risk, based on data analysis.

Collaboratively Communicate Findings and Best Practices

  • Be a champion of data.  Share best practices with global teams to enable a culture of analytics and data driven decision making.
  • Gather, organize and prioritize software requirements employing project and change management techniques.
  • Share code, knowledge and lessons learned to expand the ability of other team members to accomplish similar projects.
  • Train internal customers to use reports and tools that you create.
  • Present data and analyses to both large and small groups in both formal and informal settings.
  • Support code and reports developed by other team members to make upgrades and fix issues.

Education required

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field of study.

 Experience Required

  • This position is targeted for a candidate with less than two years of industry experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience with C/C++, C#, Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Linux, and Bash, and willingness to learn new languages as the role demands.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and Typescript web development.
  • Experience with Spring, Django, React, Angular, Vue3, Bootstrap, Express, Nginx, RabbitMQ, MyBatis, and Kafka.
  • Experience with MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, NoSQL, and Elasticsearch.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with process owners to understand data analysis and automation needs, and to manage a project to meet those needs.
  • Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and ability to thrive in a team environment.
