Global Supply Chain (GSC) at Dyson is responsible for delivering competitive, resilient, and scalable supply solutions that enable Dyson’s manufacturing and innovation agenda. Within GSC, Global Equipment Procurement drives the sourcing, cost optimisation, and lifecycle management of capital equipment and related services supporting Dyson’s global manufacturing footprint.
The Associate Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing capital equipment and related services (CAPEX/OPEX) in support of Dyson’s manufacturing plans. The role operates with a high level of autonomy, applying strong analytical capability and commercial judgement to cost modelling, supplier negotiation, and procurement execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading end‑to‑end equipment sourcing projects to meet business, cost, quality, and timeline requirements.
Defining and executing strategic and tactical cost‑reduction initiatives across equipment spend.
Developing negotiation strategies and leading commercial discussions to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and supply arrangements.
Analysing full equipment cost structures, building cost models, and ensuring data accuracy to support budgeting, forecasting, and total cost of ownership.
Reviewing and validating purchase requests for compliance, completeness, and alignment with company policies.
Approving purchases within authorised spend thresholds and maintaining accurate procurement documentation.
Managing multiple concurrent procurement projects and priorities, ensuring on‑time, in‑budget delivery.
Proactively engaging internal stakeholders to align on requirements, priorities, and project progress.
Building strong supplier relationships, managing performance, risk, quality issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintaining audit‑ready documentation and compliance within procurement systems (e.g. SAP, Ariba).
Supporting cross‑functional process improvement and other procurement initiatives as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Management, or a related field
5 years of working experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, engineering support, or project coordination
Exposure to equipment procurement, capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, OPEX, manufacturing operations, or engineering environments is an advantage
Experience working with ERP / procurement systems (SAP, Ariba preferred).
Proven experience leading supplier negotiations and managing complex procurement projects.
