General Handyperson
Autonomous role in a team environment

We are seeking a qualified (desirable) trade person to join our Maintenance Team to provide general handyperson services to a large, complex facility.
Working as a member of a 5 person team, our Maintenance Officers work autonomously and as a team, to provide routine, planned, ad-hoc and respond to urgent maintenance requests and general garden maintenance. And the requests are varied! You can expect requests from planned maintenance works like painting, patching and flooring repairs, general pruning and planned mowing, through to assisting residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes or bathroom and handrail installations – no day is the same in Aged Care.
Our Carseldine Home provides outstanding person-centric care to 189 Residents across a large campus. Our Maintenance Officers work as part of our Support Team and join in general duties in the Home, including driving a small delivery truck within the grounds and surrounding area.
Things that work for us
Have relevant trade qualifications (desirable) in carpentry, painter, electrician or plumbing
Relatable experience (essential) in Aged Care, Health or Community (highly desirable)
Hold a valid Driver’s Licence (essential)
Experience working in a varied work environment
Customer service mindset – we are a person centred organisation
Planning and time management skills
Participate in an on call roster
Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) (essential)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
