Are you interested in becoming a Veterinary Clinical Pathologist within one of the world’s leading diagnostic laboratories?
IDEXX is delighted to invite applications for one residency position in Veterinary Clinical Pathology beginning January 2025, with the goal of preparing for and completing the ECVCP or ACVP Clinical Pathology Board Examination. The residency is based at our laboratory in Midrand, Johannesburg and the prospective candidate will be supported by a strong local and international team. The successful candidate will receive training in all fields of Clinical Pathology including haematology, cytology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis and laboratory quality management (including quality assessment and quality control).
The program is funded by IDEXX South Africa and ongoing funding is dependent on satisfactory annual progress. We are looking for a veterinarian who has a strong desire to excel in Clinical Pathology. Candidates need to demonstrate evidence of interest and commitment to pathology, be hard working and avid team players. Prior experience working within a laboratory will be beneficial. Salary will be commensurate with experience. On satisfactory completion of the program, candidates will have the opportunity to progress their career within IDEXX.
