Overview

Leads the end-to-end transaction infrastructure across consumer and fleet sales, ensuring all contracts, funding, title, and registration processes are executed accurately, compliantly, and at scale. This role sits within the sales organization and owns the control environment that protects revenue, ensures regulatory compliance, and enables a seamless customer purchase experience.

Core Responsibilities

Contracts

Own the full contract lifecycle across all consumer and fleet transaction types, ensuring alignment with pricing, financing, and regulatory requirements.

•       Oversee contract generation, execution, and storage across consumer and fleet channels

•       Ensure accuracy across pricing, taxes, incentives, and financing terms

•       Align contracts with Financial Services offerings, lender requirements, and funding structures

•       Establish approval workflows for non-standard deals and exceptions

•       Maintain version control and auditability of all executed agreements

•       Partner with Legal to ensure state-by-state compliance across consumer and fleet transactions

Registration Operations

Lead all vehicle registration processes across consumer and fleet transactions, ensuring accurate tax calculation, jurisdictional compliance, and timely completion.

•       Own registration workflows across consumer and fleet transactions

•       Ensure accurate calculation and collection of state and local taxes and fees

•       Manage temporary registration issuance and expiration tracking

•       Oversee third-party registration partners and enforce SLAs

•       Maintain compliance with state-by-state requirements and evolving regulations

Title Operations (Internal & Customer Vehicles)

Oversee all title processing for both customer-owned and internally managed vehicles, ensuring accurate ownership transfer and compliance.

•       Manage end-to-end title lifecycle from submission through completion

•       Ensure accuracy across VIN, ownership, lienholder, and documentation

•       Support both retail and internal/fleet vehicle titling

•       Track status and resolve exceptions proactively

•       Ensure compliance with all state titling requirements

System Partner Enablement

Own the enablement and operational readiness of system partners supporting transaction and registration workflows across consumer and fleet channels, ensuring integration alignment, compliance adherence, and performance standards.

•       Identify, onboard, and enable system partners supporting contracting, registration, and compliance workflows across consumer and fleet

•       Ensure system partners are aligned on transaction requirements, compliance standards, and regulatory obligations

•       Manage integration readiness between partner platforms and internal transaction and registration systems

•       Establish and enforce SLAs, performance standards, and escalation paths for system partners

•       Drive continuous improvement across partner system performance, accuracy, and compliance adherence

•       Partner with Digital and IT to ensure system connectivity and data integrity across transaction and registration platforms

•       Serve as the primary point of accountability for system partner compliance and operational readiness across both consumer and fleet channels

Sales Controls, Risk Management & Process Integrity

Establish and enforce a robust control environment across all transaction processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.

•       Design and implement controls across contracts, funding, title, and registration workflows

•       Ensure compliance with state-by-state sales licensing, tax, registration, and financing requirements

•       Own risk assessment frameworks and high-risk transaction review processes

•       Establish audit processes and ensure audit readiness across all transaction activities

•       Lead sales reconciliation and ensure alignment with Finance, Accounting, and Tax

•       Drive process accuracy, reducing errors, rework, and compliance risk

Financial Services Partnership & Funding Alignment

Partner closely with Financial Services to ensure seamless integration of financing and funding into the transaction lifecycle.

•       Align transaction processes with financing products, lender requirements, and funding timelines

•       Ensure accuracy and completeness of financing documentation and contracting

•       Oversee funding workflows and resolve exceptions

•       Ensure alignment between transaction systems, financial systems, and revenue recognition

Cross-Functional Leadership

•       Partner with Sales, Operations, Financial Services, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Digital, and IT

•       Serve as the central point of coordination across the transaction lifecycle for both consumer and fleet channels

•       Enable seamless handoffs from sale through delivery and ownership

Troy, MI Base Salary Range – $156,000-$208,000.00

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Slate reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.  In addition to base pay, Slate also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs – 401k match, annual bonus and company equity, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans, HSA / FSA.
