Job Description:

SCOPE: Functions as a point person / coordinator of services for medical oncologists and medical oncology patients.  Promotes the smooth transition of patient care from entry into MBPCC system until completion of treatment and though out follow-up process.  Assists designated physician(s) in a variety of professional and paraprofessional patient care activities as specified and requested.  Responsible for providing specialized care of the medical oncology patient including patient assessments and education and other procedures.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.    Coordination of patient care services.
2.    Specialized nursing care of medical oncology patients.
3.    Phone triage.
4.    Patient education.
5.    Daily Duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Active LPN license in the state of LA.

Active BLS CPR.

Oncology experience preferred.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nursing required, oncology experience preferred.
