Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing, with a strong background in Java programming and various testing frameworks. This role requires an individual who can work independently and plan effectively as they will be the first QA in the team.

Software Requirements:

  • Must: Java Programming Language
  • Must: Rest-Assured, API / Integration Testing
  • Must: Understanding of the SpringBoot Framework
  • Must: Mockito framework for low-level integration testing
  • Must: Mutation Testing
  • Must: BatchJob & Report Testing experience
  • Nice to have: NodeJs Framework
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of Seismic and CORIC

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java and testing frameworks such as Rest-Assured, Mockito, and SpringBoot.
  • Perform API/integration testing to ensure the quality and functionality of the software.
  • Conduct batch job and report testing.
  • Plan and manage testing activities independently with minimal support.
  • Collaborate with developers and other team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain high standards of software quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and testing methodologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java programming language.
  • Strong experience with Rest-Assured for API/integration testing.
  • Good understanding of the SpringBoot Framework.
  • Experience with Mockito framework for low-level integration testing.
  • Knowledge of mutation testing techniques.
  • Experience with batch job and report testing.
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with NodeJs Framework.
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of Seismic and CORIC.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in QA automation and software testing.
  • Experience with Java and relevant testing frameworks.
  • Proven track record of working independently and planning testing activities.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results.
  • Perform API/integration testing and batch job testing.
  • Identify, report, and track software defects.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Plan and prioritize testing activities based on project requirements.
  • Prepare test reports and documentation.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in QA and testing methodologies are a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to quality.
