Answers organization phones professionally and personably, providing callers with a pleasant and productive experience. Prioritizes callers and achieves optimal efficiency through effective multitasking. Responds to emergency situations appropriately, within scope of duties.

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: Mon-Thurs- 8am-4:30pm Friday- 8am-4pm

Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 hours

Requirements:

- High school diploma/GED or higher education

-1-2 years of employment experience as a front-line organization representative required

-1-2 years of employment experience as a front-line healthcare organization representative preferred

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines the appropriate department or staff member to assist each caller, and directs or transfers each call accordingly
  • Relays verbal messages to the appropriate staff member via email or phone
  • Handles incoming general information requests and responds with appropriate answers Communicates with patients and healthcare providers in a professional, friendly and helpful manner
  • Assists patients or guests who need interpreter services in a timely manner
  • Maintains patient rights and confidentiality
  • Other related duties as assigned

SOFTWARE SYSTEMS & UTILIZATION:

  • Work in multiple software systems to provide optimal incoming and outgoing communication

QUALTY IMPROVEMENT:

  • Supports quality improvement initiatives and activities and responds appropriately to change
  • Participates in formal trainings and informal learning opportunities
  • Requests assistance from supervision as needed
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, within scope of position
  • Monitors call volumes regularly and asks for assistance during call volume surges

-Computer literate with proficiency in medical software applications required
-Knowledge of medical terminology required
-Strong aptitude for accuracy and speed required
-Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, required
-Excellent customer service skills required
-Strong multitasking skills required
