Job Description:

Application Operation Services & Quality Engineering team is a part of the larger Digital Business & Technology Solutions team. Working better together.  Our teams are dedicated to providing the services and technology our business partners need to help clients achieve lifetime financial security. We partner closely with groups and individuals throughout Sun Life Financial to provide products and services that deliver business value. Through innovation and collaboration, we're striving to continually find new and better ways to bring value to Sun Life.

The incumbent will be a college/university student who is passionate about technology, dedicated to learning and gaining work experience in a fast-paced dynamic IT environment.

What will you do as Quality Engineering (QE) Fall Intern?

• Create and maintain Automated scripts using Tosca, Cucumber Framework with Java-based Selenium and ReadyAPI
• Prepare quarterly Web Browser and Mobile device STATS
• Help maintain QE SharePoint site and Confluence pages
• Contribute to other initiatives as needed

What do you need to succeed?

• Graduation date of December 2027 or later
• Knowledge of Java programming language
• Basic understanding of different programming languages – Java, Python, SQL Scripting
• Familiarity with different Testing types e.g. Functional, Non-Functional
• Familiarity with Testing tools e.g. qTest, Appium, Selenium
• Familiarity with BDD Framework Cucumber
• Familiarity with Web and Mobile platforms
• Technical writing skills
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
• Ability to thrive in a team setting and also work well independently
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to change and learn quickly
• Enthusiasm to learn new technologies
• Interest in self-learning
• Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple assignments simultaneously
• Passion in delivering quality to clients

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
