As a Physical Therapist, you'll assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitation programs designed to enhance mobility, relieve pain, build strength, and prevent deformities in patients recovering from injury or illness. You'll deliver services across the care continuum with a focus on quality, cost-efficiency, and customer satisfaction, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Patient Assessment
Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, care plans, goals, and discharge plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Develop a personalized plan of care with input from patients and their families.
Create realistic discharge plans that incorporate the goals of the patient and their family.
Treatment Planning and Provision of Care
Implement the physical therapy treatment plan, selecting activities that support patient progress.
Adjust goals and plans based on patient and family feedback.
Provide ongoing education and training to patients and families.
Deliver discharge instructions and referrals to community resources as needed.
Serve as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.
Documentation
Document evaluations and plans of care in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Record each treatment session following established protocols.
Complete and submit all required documentation, including family education and discharge information, within organizational guidelines.
General Requirements

Professional Development

Fulfill all educational requirements to maintain licensure.

Complete all mandatory hospital and system requirements.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Licensed Physical Therapist.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Instructor preferred).
Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Team-oriented mindset.
Basic computer skills.
