Email Marketing Specialist, Assurant-GCC, India
Responsible for driving email marketing initiatives forward for our consumer-facing projects by partnering with key stakeholders to develop and execute email marketing campaigns. Performance goals will include increasing speed-to-market of email initiatives and developing emails efficiently using various tools and platforms to ultimately increase adoption of the Email Center of Excellence.
This position will be at our Bangalore/Chennai/Hyderabad- India location.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Email Marketing Execution – 50%
- Collaborate with the copy and design teams to leverage marketing assets to curate email campaigns using templatizing tools, Photoshop, Figma or other email layout and/or design platforms.
- Generate email campaigns by leveraging platform templatizing tools and manually coding HTML when needed.
- Execute on email platform knowledge through importing HTMLs, testing emails to stakeholders, deploying emails from the platforms, importing lists, managing data, creating new users, and training new users.
Campaign Management – 25%
- Collaborate with creative teams, stakeholders, and internal teams by exercising clear communication and time management skills to ensure projects run smoothly and meet deadlines.
- Utilize superior attention to detail to ensure project details are achieved, no errors exist on email campaigns, links navigate to the right locations, and the copy is on brand and meets our email standards/best practices.
Reporting & Analytics – 15%
- Proactively retrieve and format email performance data in a way that can be easily understood by our stakeholders.
- Provide keen insights into trends, metrics that fall below industry standards, metrics that can inform future decisions, etc.
Research & Strategy – 10%
- Assist stakeholders with strategic direction, provide cadence suggestions, and overall recommendations on messaging, trends, strategy, and timing.
- Set up A/B testing to determine winning strategies and research behaviors that can inform decisions on future campaigns.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Management, or similar field of study.
Previous Experience
- Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in email marketing
- Required a minimum of 1 year of experience in campaign, project, or client management
- Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience reporting on email performance with the ability to draw a strategic conclusion based on statistical data.
- Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in developing HTML specific for email development and editing HTML and CSS code.
Knowledge and Skills
- Requires demonstrated skills in email design, including the ability to compose and edit HTML/CSS and create email-specific designs and responsive code.
- Requires an in-depth knowledge and experience in email best practices and campaign management processes, including project planning and tracking principles; project risk and issues identification, assessment, change management, and mitigation.
- Requires thorough understanding of planning, analysis and testing techniques. Requires ability to coordinate system testing cycle, issues tracking and resolution.
- Requires ability to quickly learn and manage various email platforms and admin rights within the platforms.

- Previous Agency Experience
- Certifications in SFMC, Salesforce, Pardot, Google Analytics.
