POSITION OVERVIEW
An Account Manager at the Virtual Business Centre-West is responsible for building and maintaining powerful relationships remotely, with a view to ensuring your 350+ client portfolio has access to the financing and advice they need to reach their potential. This will include email-based marketing campaigns, proactive phone calls, managing a high volume of incoming requests, and regular reviews of client needs. You day to day tasks may also include amending an existing loan, creating and presenting new financing, or connecting clients with our Advisory Partners to build their own skill set.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Your main responsibility will be to develop and implement a customer relationship, retention, and growth strategy focused on maintaining and building your portfolio while providing an exceptional customer experience.
You will also need to leverage your sound credit judgment to create and deliver high-quality loan proposals that meet the needs of the client while representing an acceptable level of risk for BDC.
You will also be asked to use your strong business acumen to listen to their challenges, opportunities, and circumstances to provide advice and strategic options that will help them succeed.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You are an experienced commercial banker with a thorough understanding of the dynamics of the business environment.
You display proven client relationship management skills and a passion for supporting entrepreneurship, especially small and medium businesses and their leaders.
You are a strong negotiator with the ability to balance client requests and BDC’s risk requirements.
You are a total team player willing to support your peers and colleagues, however have the discipline to work independently and with limited direct management.
