We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented and creative team player to join our Aptive team! This is a part-time Accounts Payable Specialist position located in Provo, Utah. The individual we are looking for is someone who enjoys working in a team environment and excels working at an individual level.

The hours for this position will be 15-20 hours per week with a flexible schedule during business hours, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receive, validate, and route invoices for approval, and match invoices to purchase orders and contracts

  • Prepare and execute ACH, check, and wire payment runs, and schedule payments to support cash-flow goals

  • Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve discrepancies and credits

  • Maintain documentation and adhere to GAAP controls, and support internal and external audits

  • Complete month-end tasks, including accruals, AP aging review, and reporting

  • Serve as the primary contact for vendor payment status and issue resolution, and maintain accurate vendor master data

  • Identify automation opportunities and workflow improvements, and assist with ERP or process changes

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

Requirements:      

  • 1–3 years of accounts payable or equivalent accounting experience

  • Proficiency with ERP/AP systems such as Workday, NetSuite, or SAP, and strong Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables

  • Strong detail orientation, organizational skills, and accuracy when managing high invoice volume

  • Strong communication abilities and a vendor-service mindset.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Understanding of three-way match, accruals, 1099 processing, and AP compliance requirements
