Role Description:
We are searching for an exceptional sales person to focus on our Slack business for Mid Market and Small Business nonprofit customers and opportunities. The successful candidate will understand their customers’ business objectives and act as their trusted advisor for using Slack most effectively.  This individual needs to coordinate and communicate effectively across multiple departments, both internally and externally. You must be comfortable with operating in a dynamic environment, and have the ability to wear multiple hats. You must be good at orchestrating value driven conversations with customers, to position the most effective solution aimed at delivering the highest possible impact.  If you’re an established sales professional with a proven track record in helping customers achieve lofty goals, while successfully managing your business, we should chat.In this role you will:
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead to close, including negotiating and deal making
  • Work closely with your Salesforce peers to plan and execute on co-selling objectives and goals
  • Establish lasting relationships with senior executives and decision-makers
  • Help educate customers on the value of Slack throughout the sales cycle
  • Distill value from product features to build the best possible outcomes for your customers
  • Collaborate and work with different members of the  team (Solution Engineers, Customer Success Managers, Leadership, etc.)
  • Prepare and educate customers on new features and solutions
  • Identify adoption and utilization trends, and help customers orchestrate growth plans
  • Provide recommendations based on customer’s business needs and usage patterns

What you should have:
  • 6+ years of Account Executive experience
  • Relevant sales experience, preferably in a SaaS organization
  • Experience managing a pipeline and closing large contracts with nonprofit organizations
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex and technical concepts
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Consistent track record of navigating within large and mid-market organizations
  • Ability to develop senior level relationships quickly and effectively
  • Experience managing extended teams of resources during sales cycle
  • Ability to handle multiple opportunities simultaneously at various stages of the buying process
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Some travel required

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $83,950 to $112,300.

For Washington D.C based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $83,950 to $112,300.

For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $76,350 to $102,100.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $83,950 to $112,300.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
