About the Role

You will be working as a Grade 3 Nuclear Medicine Technologist and will work in both general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT. We are committed to providing training and education, and offer regular continuing professional development for staff.

* Under the direction of the senior Nuclear Medicine Technologists, you will provide quality general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations in a safe environment. 

* Excellent technical and clinical skills in the full range of general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures.

* Experience in the preparation, handling and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.

* Excellent communication skills.

*Awareness of all aspects of radiation safety as they pertain to the practices of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT

Classifications for this position will range from CH6-CH9

Your Contribution

* Bachelor of Applied Science / Medical Radiations in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent

* Current Medical Radiation Practitioner registration with AHPRA to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist

* Radiation use licence issued by the Department of Health

* Experience sufficient to permit eligibility for accreditation by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM)

* Current National criminal history check, or willingness to obtain

The Nuclear Medicine and PET departments at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne offer a full range of both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and are equipped with state of the art SPECT/CT cameras, and a PET/CT scanner.
