The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.
Organization & Team Overview
Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) team designs, develops, delivers, and supports innovative products and services that bring broadband, wireless, video, and voice experiences to residential and business customers throughout the world, with more than 57 million customer relationships across the U.S. and Europe. TPX is focused on providing an excellent customer experience, which goes beyond updating existing products and services by developing new capabilities that customers soon realize they can’t live without; it’s also about making those products simple, personal, and awesome – and building in the proactive support and best-in-class service that optimize the experience and differentiate our offerings from those of our competitors.
The PULSE team is currently responsible for the Product and use domain in the TPX Domain model. PULSE, which stands for ‘Product & Use Lifecycle Services & Entitlements,’ is made up of several multi-functional teams that deliver the platforms that allow subscribers to use and interact with our products.
This includes multiple critical services related to account and device provisioning, content availability, managing entitlements, transactional content, and upsell interfaces. The breadth of the products that are dependent on the PULSE team is quite wide. Some of the key products include X1 Residential (Streaming Video client, Content Availability, Video on Demand.), Xfinity on Campus (over 130 Universities across the US), Hospitality/Hotel Properties using X1 (Le Méridien, Four Seasons), and Venues (Atlanta Braves Stadium & Wells Fargo Center).
Additionally, Pulse Team plays a key role in the OTT (OverTheTop/Streaming) provisioning service for NOW TV, XUMO TV, Stream Saver Bundle, Peacock, Netflix, and Apple while leveraging the Comcast Middle Tier (CMT) model. Pulse Team owns (Entitlement and Resource Tiers).
Role Description
As a TPX Intern on the PULSE team, you will be engaged in developing and supporting cutting-edge software systems for the next generation of video platforms and OTT services that can reach millions of customers instantly. If you are passionate about getting involved from end-to-end software designing, development, and deployment to production, this is the opportunity you don’t want to miss.

One of the challenges of working with cross-functional teams is ensuring the data contract is diligently followed, considering high-performing code, and utilizing secure coding practices. You will be exposed to work on cutting-edge technologies and have the freedom to explore and introduce a new stack if it solves a business problem.
Where can this student make an impact?
You’ll be engaged with Comcast's best and brightest minds and responsible for rolling out new features for the video platform and OTT service. Success in this role is characterized by speed to market, fewer customer-facing defects and outages, and a mindset to evaluate and apply next-generation tools and technologies to evolve a robust video platform that caters to various business needs.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and develop new software and web applications using Java and Golang
Work with Cassandra and PostgreSQL databases
Work with cloud infrastructure platforms like Amazon Web Services
Design and develop RESTful APIs
Support applications under development and customize current applications
Display in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply process design, and redesign skills
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of modern programing languages in Java/Go or others. Experience can be in one or multiple languages will be plus
Knowledge of relational database like Oracle, SQL Server
Knowledge of Cassandra, Postgres, or any other NoSQL database
Knowledge in one or more of the following: REST services, data analytics, or AI/ML
Good understanding of CI/CD pipeline tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Concourse, or others
Familiarity with cloud environments, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or others
Knowledge of Agile software development practices
Knowledge of Secure coding practices
Preferred Majors: Computer Programming, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Base Pay: $32.00Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
