YOUR MISSION

We are seeking a dynamic leader who embodies a mix of operational excellence, negotiation and collaboration skills, and strategic, innovative thinking. As Head of the North East Region, you will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of Glovo in Catalonia & Balearics, which makes your region the biggest one nationally.. Your role will involve setting the commercial strategy, leading a high-performing team, and building strong partnerships with key stakeholders.

THE JOURNEY

Strategic Leadership:

  • Define and execute a long-term commercial strategy for key partners in the region, ensuring alignment with Glovo’s overall objectives.
  • Take full ownership of the P&L and drive 360º business performance in the North East region.
  • Oversee key areas such as sales, partnerships, and advertising to accelerate growth and strengthen market positioning.
  • Leverage business and financial insights to guide strategic decisions and identify new revenue opportunities that contribute to regional success.

Team Management:

  • Lead and motivate a team of 15+ professionals, fostering a high-performance culture to exceed commercial targets.
  • Organize and oversee the daily operations of the North East Regional team, ensuring seamless coordination with other regional and central teams.
  • Set clear objectives, delegate responsibilities effectively, and track performance to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance) to ensure flawless execution and a strong team dynamic.

Partnership Development:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including top restaurants, retail chains, and local businesses, to drive shared growth.
  • Develop and execute innovative strategies to support partner expansion and maximize their success on the Glovo platform.
  • Expand market coverage by onboarding top-tier restaurants and retailers, enhancing the platform’s value proposition.
  • Contribute to the professional development of the team, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • 7+ years of relevant experience managing high-performing teams of 8+ people in fast-paced environments such as startups, top consulting firms, or top tech companies.
  • Proven experience in negotiating large-scale contracts and building lasting relationships with C-level executives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and empathize with clients' and partners' business models, challenges, and objectives.
  • A data-driven mentality, using analytics to make informed decisions and optimize performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Spanish, Catalan and English.
  • Persuasive yet pleasant, with the ability to sell value-added solutions to customers, partners, and the Glovo platform.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and commercial mindset.
