Job Description Summary:

The Director, Licensing – LATAM leads the licensing business for the territory and is responsible for setting strategic direction and executing multi‑million‑dollar licensing partnerships across a diverse range of lifestyle categories for Coca‑Cola and its portfolio of billion‑dollar brands.

This role is market‑based to enable deep local connection, day‑to‑day collaboration with licensees, and hands‑on leadership of the licensing business. The Licensing Director ensures licensing strategies drive revenue and add brand value, while aligning with local market priorities as well as broader OU and enterprise objectives. Success in this role requires strong in‑market knowledge, including a deep understanding of local consumer behavior, retail dynamics, cultural relevance, and emerging trends.

The Director is ultimately accountable for driving licensing revenue, brand expansion, and profitable growth across the territory through direct, strategic partnerships with licensees.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Develop and execute consumer‑centric licensing strategies by collaborating closely with TCCC global teams and in‑market OU brand, commercial, and marketing teams. Leverages deep understanding of local consumers, retail dynamics, and cultural trends to prioritize brands, categories, channels, and market expansion opportunities. Delivers both short‑ and long‑term growth.

  • Serve as the primary in‑market partner to licensees, working closely with them on a day‑to‑day basis to unlock growth opportunities and strengthen long‑term partnerships. Leads annual business planning for the territory, performance reviews, and ongoing business optimization.

  • Drive business development for the territory, identifying, evaluating, and pitching new licensing opportunities. Leads licensee prospecting, capability assessments, and commercial pitches, ensuring strong strategic and brand alignment.

  • Leads complex deal negotiations and coaches the team to execute day‑to‑day deals. Expected to operate at a fast pace and reach agreement on complex deal structures through contract negotiations among global, regional, and local entities, involving multiple parties as well as retailers, manufacturers, brand collaborators, and other global organizations. Makes sound commercial decisions that balance territory objectives with the best interests of The Coca‑Cola Company enterprise as a whole, considering broader business implications, long‑term value creation, and risk. Ensures all agreements align with Company policies, governance standards, and ethical frameworks. Accountable for licensee performance, including innovation, product development, and commercial execution.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to a team of internal employees, building capability, accountability, and performance to achieve territory business objectives.

  • Assess complex business issues and opportunities, balancing financial return, brand value, customer impact, design capability, and risk management to determine the most effective path forward.

  • Leverage data, analytics, and market insights to identify trends, growth opportunities, and risks. Monitors retail sales performance, identifies new revenue streams, and aligns resources to maximize impact.

  • Consolidate and analyze licensing royalty revenue and sales performance across the territory. Tracks execution of business plans, identifies gaps, and develops contingency and recovery plans. Ultimately accountable for short‑ and long‑term licensing results.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in licensing, brand management, and strategic planning, with deep market or regional focus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with licensing management tools

  • English proficiency is a must.

  • Strong presenting, persuading, and negotiating skills, including leading licensee pitches

  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship‑building skills, particularly in direct licensee partnerships

  • Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills

  • Ability to facilitate, influence, and accelerate value‑based business relationships

  • Above‑average analytical and financial acumen, with strong understanding of retail economics and partner financial levers

  • Highly results‑oriented with the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, growth‑focused environment

  • Highly effective collaboration skills with the ability to operate, influence, and drive alignment within a matrixed, networked organization

  • Strong pulse on local consumer behavior, retail landscapes, and lifestyle trends

  • Proven track record of successful licensing deals, brand expansion, and business development in‑market

  • Broad experience across Licensing, Marketing, and Retail, with a solid understanding of product development, manufacturing, and commercialization cycles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multi‑country or regional licensing programs

  • Deep understanding of legal and regulatory aspects of licensing within LATAM markets

  • Established network within the local licensing, retail, and consumer products ecosystem
