Leidos is seeking an AI Architect to support the IRS PRPS Program. The AI Architect will be responsible for applying their expertise to help Leidos research, develop, and commercialize technologies enabling data processing at scale for AI consumption. Skills include UI development, machine learning and artificial intelligence. You will be working with teams of solutions architect, developers and testers to define and implement research milestones. We are looking for someone who is intellectually adaptive, likes to collaborate, inquisitive and goal oriented. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with customer and internal/external teams to create a scalable AI data architecture strategy.
  • Identify risks and constraints of AI infrastructure at scale and implement mitigations and workarounds.
  • Create project plan, milestones and lead the team to implement the AI data architecture strategy.
  • Lead the design and implementation of data access controls to produce a data transformation pipeline that discovers, repairs, logs, and deploys quality data plus security policy metadata.
  • Work with a team to design, build, train, and evaluate machine learning models. 
  • Be the liaison between the Program Manager, program teams and other stakeholders across Leidos.
  • Communicate results and methods for solutions to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Work within teams of AI/ML researchers and engineers using Agile development processes. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 or more years of prior relevant experience. However, an equivalent combination of education, certification(s) and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages, Python, APIs, SQL, Java, or JSON.
  • Knowledge of AI and Automation: Gen AI, Intelligent Document Processing, Natural Language Processing, LLMs, RPA.
  • Good understanding of machine learning algorithms, tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of data exploration techniques and tools such as Google AI Services (Google Doc AI), UI Path or ImageTrust.
  • Willing to learn new skills and platforms to support data analytics. 
  • Great communication skills, able to explain model results to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI), similar to a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with statistical modeling and data analysis.
  • Experience with leading research projects and project teams.
  • Experience with planning and execution.
  • Experience with front-end technologies, new feature design, documentation, user training resources.
  • Experience with data architecture at scale and AI Infrastructure.
  • Experience with data categorization, labeling and tagging.
  • Experience with data repositories.
  • Experience with Data Operations including applying AI for data curation.
  • Current IRS MBI.
  • Prior Internal Revenue Services (IRS) experience.

Clearance:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.​​

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
