UI ART INTERN

What You'll Do

As a member of the Fortnite Multi-Product Ecosystem, this role on the Player Journey team is focused on providing intuitive pathways for players to discover experiences and to connect with their friends/the Fortnite community. You’ll get the chance to work on some of our social-oriented features, making an impact on Fortnite’s UI. You’ll partner with our awesome designers and devs to ensure the interface is clear and functional, but fun and appealing to our Fortnite players.

In this role, you will

  • Concept and prototype UI Art in Figma, that enriches the Fortnite Frontend social ecosystem
  • Work alongside UX Design, Tech UI Design, and other UI Artists to create a AAA-quality UI experience, ensuring consistency and quality are maintained across Fortnite as a product
  • Prototype UI art in UE UMG & create new material effects

What we're looking for

  • Good eye for composition, color, and attention to detail
  • Creativity in problem-solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude
  • Able to take feedback and critique to iterate on work to completion
  • Basic Unreal Engine (UMG) experience, other engines or equivalents considered
  • Basic understanding of animation, interaction, and motion design

This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
