Role Description

• To grow as a strong mechanical engineer to be able to qualify HVAC products.
• To be able to handle projects independently and provide value additions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform flow & heat transfer analysis using conventional tools for HVAC parts and assemblies and interpret the results.

• Strong in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics to do some flow analysis and identify the flow patterns and suggest any design changes to reduce the pressure drop.

• The candidate will be expected to perform CFD analysis using standard works developed, where the entire process must be covered, i.e. from data/information acquisition, CAD data pre-processing, model build, to the analysis and final presentation.

• Ensure that product design and performance meets technical and functional requirements.

• Based on the analysis performed, suggest design changes to meet the functional requirements.

• Testing / Simulation coordination: conduct correlation studies between CFD and lab testing for improvement and verification of CFD models.

• Participate in product tear downs and workshops for product understanding.

• Work on ideas generated through benchmarking and tear downs.

Basic Qualifications & Experience:

• A strong foundation in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• MTech in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in thermal engineering or equivalent with at least 7.5 CGPA.
• Hands on experience in CAD and CAE tools.
• Understand basic air-conditioning system and vapor compression cycle, its application in different product lines.
• Understand the different qualification standards for HVAC products.
• Understand basics of thermal management and support in designing the cooling solutions.
