The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for business development for the business within allocated markets and managing the assigned sales team. This is a multidimensional role and will focus on these key areas: developing new accounts and accelerating the business, key account relationship, managing the day to day of the allocated sales team, and creating visibility for Head of department. Skill sets required includes and is not limited to: identifying potential new customers, cold calling, conducting face to face meetings, providing product demonstrations, negotiating, closing contracts, team motivation and management, and day to day team support. The role also requires you to see guide the junior members of the team and working closely with the product and support teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.  

About the Role

As a Senior Sales Manager, you are responsible for the following:

  • A self-starter with strong ownership and accountability to achieve revenue targets independently and quickly
  • Ability to learn on the role quickly, pick up product knowledge and navigate the learning process by connecting with the various team members.
  • Identify prospects, have the confidence to cold call and communicate effectively on our value propositions clearly and concisely.
  • A confident presenter with strong presentations skills and familiar with both in-person and virtual go-to-market tools
  • Ability to identify customers’ pain points quickly and recommend suitable solutions to the customer to create a win-win situation. Throughout the process, provide a high level of customer service, display an ability to build strong relationships and achieve a deep understanding of customers’ commercial objectives and motivations accurately.
  • A dynamic, independent and motivated individual with a focus on delivering results.
  • A people manager who can motivate the sales team, and drive the sales process relentlessly.
  • A team player who understands the internal publishing and event workflows, and strong interpersonal skills to work closely with various teams to deliver a strong customer experience
  • Ability to timely and accurately provide sales reports and forecast; the ability to communicate clearly on pipeline progress, strategic territorial plans and account risks

  • Monitor the competitive landscape and provide analysis on market gaps and opportunities

About You

As a Senior Sales Manager, you should possess the following:

  • Minimum university degree and/or relevant corporate B2B sales experience
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience with a sales team is a must, either with local or regional-based teams.
  • Minimum 10 years individual sales experience in a relevant industry is a must
  • Highly advantageous to have worked within the legal and/ or compliance communities in Asia.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is a must, advantageous to speak other Asian languages.
  • Advantageous to have worked with Asia based customers in any industry (ability to demonstrate cultural flexibility and sensitivity)
  • Travelling may be required
