What to Expect:
This is a part-time Cable and Harness Inspector Level 2 position with potential for long-term opportunities. You will be a critical part of our inspection team, performing source inspections for a leading manufacturer in the Galena, Kansas area. Candidates in Wichita, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, or in the surrounding regions, are encouraged to apply.
 
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct visual inspections of multiple break-out wiring harnesses (molded, non-molded, EMI shielded), ribbon cables, and panel assemblies.
- Ensure components meet required specifications, checking for gaps, mismatches, and adherence to workmanship standards.
- Verify rework conducted during the time of the inspection.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections, including witness inspections, as necessary.
- Use standard hand tools to validate measurements and ensure quality standards are met.
- Read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards.

What You’ll Need:
- 2+ years of hands-on inspection experience in cable and harness assemblies or similar components.
- Familiarity with multiple types of harness assemblies including braided, discrete wiring, coil cord, and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
- IPC-620 knowledge is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications.
- Experience with tools like micrometers, calipers, and indicators for precision measurements.
- Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel to the Galena, Kansas area.
- Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required, and candidates must pass a criminal background check.
