What we are looking for
We are looking for an Associate, Fund Management to join our Real Estate Fund Management team in Munich.
In this role, you will work closely with the Fund Manager and gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of institutional real estate funds with global assets — from capital deployment through to asset disposals.
You will develop into a fund operations expert, driving financial planning and controlling activities. By combining operational execution with analytical input, you will support strategic decision-making and ongoing fund management activities.
This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong willingness to learn and collaborate across pan-European teams—including Investments, Accounting, Structured Finance, and Debt Finance. Prior experience is beneficial, but not essential—we value curiosity, ownership, and drive above all.
You'll be responsible for:
Fund Management & Collaboration
Act as a key interface between Fund Management and internal stakeholders (Accounting, Finance, ESG, Transactions)
Support cross-functional collaboration throughout the fund lifecycle
Acquisitions & Disposals
Support the execution of real estate acquisitions and disposals
Assist in preparing investment materials for internal committees and institutional investors
Contribute to the development of structured investment memoranda
Support analysis of investment and financing structures in collaboration with Structured Finance
Financial Planning & Cash Management
Support liquidity planning and cash flow forecasting
Monitor and analyse fund-level cash movements across complex structures
Maintain comprehensive fund flow documentation
Assist with financings and restructuring activities
Performance & Reporting
Support performance analysis and identify key value drivers
Prepare regular fund reports and ad hoc analyses
Coordinate reporting timelines and deliverables
Contribute to investor presentations and reporting
Assist in NAV processes in close cooperation with Accounting
Data Management
Maintain and update fund databases, ensuring high data quality
Support data room preparation for transactions and due diligence
Investor & Stakeholder Communication
Engage professionally with investors, advisors, and external stakeholders
You'll need to have:
Relevant first experience (internships, working student, or entry-level role) is a plus
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (interest in AI tools is a plus)
Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Strong interest in real estate investment management and fund operations
Fluent in German and confident in English communication
Detail-oriented team player with a collaborative mindset
High level of motivation and willingness to learn and grow
