Position Summary

The Manager, Third Party Strategy and Oversight (TPSO) supports the operational execution of third‑party oversight activities within Patient Safety (PS). This role is responsible for monitoring performance, maintaining oversight metrics, supporting compliance activities, and contributing to continuous improvement of outsourced pharmacovigilance (PV) activities.

The role works closely with TPSO leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure third parties operate in compliance with global PV regulations, GVP requirements, BMS quality standards, and contractual obligations. The role is primarily execution‑focused, providing data, analysis, documentation, and recommendations to support effective governance and decision‑making.

Duties/Responsibilities

Third‑Party Oversight & Monitoring

  • Perform day‑to‑day management and oversight activities for assigned third‑party vendors, distributors, or business partners performing PV‑related activities.
  • Collect, track, and maintain third‑party performance data, KPIs, and quality metrics in accordance with established oversight processes.
  • Review metrics and reports for completeness, accuracy, and trends; flag potential risks or compliance concerns for escalation and proactively recommend mitigation and improvement/corrective actions to PS teams.
  • Support investigation and documentation of compliance issues, including deviations, root cause analysis inputs, and CAPA tracking.


Compliance, Quality & Inspection Readiness

  • Support audit and inspection readiness activities related to third‑party oversight, including document preparation, evidence collection, and response tracking.
  • Assist in the review of safety agreements (e.g., PVAs, SOWs) to ensure oversight requirements are addressed and understood.
  • Maintain accurate and inspection‑ready records supporting third‑party oversight activities.


Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with BMS stakeholders to resolve third‑party issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare oversight inputs, summaries, and data for governance forums and management reviews.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and external partners within defined role scope.
  • Support projects that build strategic third-party oversight capabilities, processes and standards to ensure delivery of PS objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and training relating to core responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Public Health, or a related discipline.
  • 4–7 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance, Safety Operations, Quality, or a related pharmaceutical function.
  • Experience supporting vendor or third‑party oversight activities in a regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of global PV regulations, GxP principles, and quality system expectations.
  • Experience working with performance metrics, KPIs, compliance tracking, or quality indicators; ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, project management and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify issues or trends, and escalate appropriately.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrates integrity, sound judgement, and commitment to quality and compliance.

Compensation Overview:

Warsaw - PL: zł154,275 - zł186,945

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. The final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience and in accordance with pay equity principles and applicable employment laws.
