Carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems, products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Performs and leads tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. May create test data for applications. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Acts as information resource about assigned areas to technical writers and other Quality Assurance Analysts. Performs complex workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements.

Be part of the Insider Threat Office mission operations contract support staff are responsible for maintaining several legacy systems, minor enhancements to still-in-use applications, ensuring continued authority to operate, and ultimately for sunsetting those systems after their functions have been subsumed or replaced by the Insider & Security Analytics Platform. This team is accountable for system administration, information system security accreditation, database administration, physical infrastructure maintenance, and software development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.

  • Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.

  • A Subject Matter Expert is an individual whose qualifications and/or expertise are exceptional and/or highly unique.

  • Has domain and expert technical knowledge.

  • Performs the following kinds of functions: Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs;

  • Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff;

  • Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues;

  • Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.

  • Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.

  • May supervise others.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems

  • Management, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Ability to work well within a small agile team environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DOD Top Secret Clearance is required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
