The opportunity: 

AIA has a newly created opportunity available for a Head of Group Propositions to join their team in either Melbourne or Sydney. Within this role you will lead the strategic development and implementation of AIA Australia’s Group Insurance Propositions to existing group partners. 

You will be accountable for identifying and executing continuous improvement initiatives to partners and collaborate with Client Leads to formulate a strategy to ensure that AIA’s proposition meets each partner's needs.  Furthermore, you will support all business unit reporting, including working closely with the GM of Product and Propositions in developing future strategic roadmaps across Group Insurance. 

 

To do this successfully you will:

• Be accountable for the delivery and implementation of partner uplifts, working with key stakeholders across technology, COCO, Vitality and Shared Value to ensure a seamless execution for each partner

• Lead the development and execution of the strategic roadmap for Group Insurance

• Collaborate with senior leaders across the enterprise to ensure key group insurance priorities are considered
• Work with client leads to align partner strategies with group insurance growth objectives and shared value principles
• Support business unit reporting, including financial performance, partner satisfaction metrics and strategic initiative tracking
• Drive continuous improvement across proposition development, informed by business reporting, market trends, competitor analysis and partner feedback
• Be responsible for leading the development of tactical and strategic roadmaps to uplift AIA’s member and fund proposition across existing partners
• Champion innovation and thought leadership in group insurance, ensuring propositions are proactive and future focused
• Lead and develop a high performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Promote knowledge sharing and alignment across Group Insurance and broader enterpriser functions

Successful applications will demonstrate: 

• Extensive Life insurance experience with a deep understanding of the financial services industry including prior roles in Group Life Insurance and an excellent understanding of product and proposition development
• Experience as an engaging leader with strategic vision and ability to align multiple teams on delivery outcomes
• The ability to develop and deliver propositions, superb customer experiences, with a particular competency in detail, execution and agility to review plans for success
• Advanced knowledge of partner needs, behaviours and preferences with regards to Life Insurance
• A proven track record of strategic thinking, development of propositions and differentiated proposals in a B2B environment
• Impeccable negotiation, coaching and mentoring skills
• Excellent presentation, networking and communication skills
• Knowledge of the Acts and Legislation that govern the industry
