Job location: Hybrid (Fort Collins, CO/ Home Office)

Role Summary                                                          

In this highly visible role, the Global Trade Compliance Analyst plays an integral part in establishing, monitoring, and ensuring all Church and Dwight products and brands are compliant with the ever-changing import and export environment. Reporting into the Director, Global Trade Compliance and Operations, this analyst role will be the subject matter expert on domestic and international trade compliance.  They will support the day-to-day activities surrounding compliance with imports and exports, manage the comprehensive lists of classifications, country of origins, and duty fees associated with transacting globally, and ensure adherence of proper procedures are followed with external parties, such as brokers. This role will engage cross functionally with Legal, Finance, and Logistics and requires collaboration both internally and externally.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities                                                

  • Ensure import compliance procedures in each of the five pillars are fully implemented and followed

  • Maintain Tariff Classification database and ensure accuracy in ERP system

  • Assist with determining Schedule B numbers

  • Conduct Valuation Review Audits

  • Conduct annual trainings for stakeholders on Valuation

  • Conduct three-point reviews of product shipments to confirm accuracy of quantities and values being declared

  • Determine correct Country of Origin and apply across all SKU’s

  • Conduct Free Trade Agreement assessments

  • Manage Retention of import records per CBP regulations

  • Manage daily communication and oversight of Brokers, including any process or compliance changes

  • Conduct post entry reviews

  • Assist with responding to Customs inquiries or notices

  • Manage Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) account

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement process improvements around the Global Trade Compliance program

  • ADHOC reporting as requested

Education and Experience                                                          

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. 

  • Customs Broker License preferred.

  • Subject Matter Expert in Global Trade Compliance.

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP, Oracle, PowerBi, Excel and CBP portals such as ACE.

  • Ability to analyze data, develop recommendations and drive for results.

  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and be able to adhere to deadlines.

  • A combination of 5-7+ years’ experience across Import / Export Compliance including Free Trade Agreements, Tariff Classification, CBP Regulations, Country of Origin.

  • The job requires advanced skills in analytics, organization, planning, and the ability to react quickly to changing priorities. 

  • Must be able to make quick decisions with limited information in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels within the organization as well as externally with partners. 

Other Qualifications & Physical Requirements                                                        

  • Travel; approximately 15% including overnight.

  • Hybrid ---preferred office location at Fort Collins, CO

Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to Director, Global Trade Compliance and Operations  

Supervisory Duties: None
