Job Summary:  Responsible for the day to day sanitation of the plant, warehouse, and outside areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, safe chemical handling, etc.
  • Responsible for adhering to food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and SQF requirements.
  • Follow Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work environment.
  • Follow cleaning chemicals and sanitizer procedures.
  • Trained to use floor scrubber to wash floors
  • Follow the cleaning procedure for equipment in plant.
  • Expected to work in all areas as needed
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires initiative.
  • Self-starter.
  • Must have the ability to think and draw natural conclusions.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to handle 50 lbs. or more.
  • Must be able to clean and inspect all MDM equipment.
  • Must be able to work in areas with extreme temperature variances in wet environment.
  • Must be able to work with chemicals.
  • Must be pallet jack, sky lift and forklift qualified (or be willing to become qualified).
  • Must be willing to work overtime as necessary, including weekends.
  • Must be able to work from ladders and raised platforms.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Must be able to disassemble and reassemble equipment.
