Position Summary...

What you'll do...

 In this role, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining transportation forecasts, driving accuracy and granularity improvements across multiple nodes, and partnering with other data teams to sync demand signals and provide integrated solutions for a single output workload. You will also create workload and capacity plans, outlining the capacity for each network and parts of the country, to properly advise the business areas on increasing/decreasing capacity through various means.

What You Will Do:

  • Understand the business value and relevance of transportation data and its enabled insights/decisions.

  • Apply principles of the defined strategy to routine business problems that involve a single function.

  • Select and develop custom analytical models using feature relevance and selection, exploratory data analysis methods, and advanced statistical methods.

  • Conduct trend and cluster analysis on data to answer practical business problems and provide recommendations and key insights to the business.

  • Support efforts to ensure that analytical models and techniques used can be deployed into production.

  • Ensure the scalability and sustainability of analytical models.

  • Code Development and Testing.

  • Translate business problems into data-related or mathematical solutions

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in transportation forecasting, planning, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Java, C++, Python, and others.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Python, R libraries, GGplot, Matplotlib, Ploty, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

  • Strong understanding of data ecosystem, data quality standards, data governance, accessibility, storage, and scalability.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics or related field. Option 2: Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Option 3: 4 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
