FacultyJob Duties Outlined:
Provide in-patient and ambulatory care to patients with advanced heart failure, transplants, and those with ventricular support devices.
Participate in department and health system committees and meetings as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education/Certification:
MD/DO
Completion of a three-year fellowship from an accredited institution in Cardiology
One- or two-year fellowship in an accredited institution in Advanced Heart Failure.
ABIM Certification in Cardiovascular Disease.
Work Experience:
Two years in a setting of Advanced Heart-Failure, Transplant, and Mechanical Circulator Support which included:
Management of patients in the clinical area of Advanced Heart Failure and in the management of Mechanical Circulatory Support systems in patients with Advance Heart Failure.
Experience in managing patients with cardiac transplants.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification: ABIM Certification in Advance Heart Failure.
Work Experience: Experience in research and teaching efforts.
