Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively seek out new sales opportunities and follow up on leads provided. Identify potential customers and present product/service offerings to meet their needs.
  • Sell the company's products and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Planning, executing and monitoring all measures necessary to achieve achieving budget.
  • Planning all meetings with customers and maintaining and updating daily reports.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products/services and effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value proposition to customers.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Use market insights to identify opportunities for growth and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and sales pipeline status.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Work closely with other members of the sales team, as well as with marketing, customer service, and other departments, to achieve company objectives and provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide support of the ZEISS portfolio in South Africa on all Ophthalmology devices and related consumables
  • Support Key Opinion leaders.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.
  • Handle the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Ensure Customer Data in the region in maintained in the CRM. Must be accurate, up to date, and complete.

You will have:

Education requirements / Experience / Job Specifications

Education / Professional Certification

Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field

Experience

3- 5 years professional experience in Medical Sales, ideally in the area of

Ophthalmology

Previous experience in sales, preferably in a B2B or B2C environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce software

Knowledge and experience in the theatre environment.

Excellent knowledge of the Ophthalmology market in the region.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working conditions & Other Attributes.

Travel intensively in South Africa
