Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for applying strategic account management principles to secure high-value orders and consistently achieve individual booking targets. Operating within established organizational and functional frameworks, your primary objective will be to collaborate closely with the sales organization to identify, engage, and influence key stakeholders—including EPCs, asset owners, and developers—across large-scale onshore energy infrastructure projects.

These projects encompass LNG terminals, petrochemical complexes, refineries, hydrogen production facilities, and utility-scale power generation plants. You will lead the pursuit of integrated solutions that include industrial control systems, power distribution, automation, and digital technologies, ensuring they are tailored to meet specific customer requirements while aligning with ABB’s strategic goals.

This role is contributing to the Automation Energy Industries in Indonesia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Driving strategic sales initiatives and account development plans to grow market share.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers across the customer ecosystem.
  • Leading complex sales pursuits from opportunity identification through to contract closure and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop compelling value propositions and solution architectures.
  • Ensuring alignment between customer needs and ABB’s portfolio of Electrical & Automation solutions.


Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • At least 8–10 years of relevant experience in the Energy Industries, with a minimum of 5 years in a front-end sales role focused on automation and control solutions
  • Proven track record in delivering Automation Solutions, including Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS), Power Management Systems (PMS), SCADA, Telecommunication, and Digital Solutions tailored to onshore energy applications.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success in coaching and managing sales teams to achieve high performance
  • Solid track record in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, with effective resource allocation and execution
  • Experience in conducting customer surveys, analyzing feedback, and implementing improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Skilled in negotiating key contracts and building long-term customer relationships, with excellent communication and analytical abilities.
