Position Summary:
The Thought Leader Liaison for Genmab KK (Japan) is a critical aspect of building strong relationships with medical and scientific experts (including Global KOLs) and will be responsible for collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Medical Experts (MEs) to support product development with cross functional team and market strategies.
The position is involved in working with both global and local internal cross-functional stakeholders, as well as key external stakeholders.
He/She will also lead the KOL engagement events, such as commercial advisory boards and speaker training, in collaboration with stakeholders and also understand the needs of KOLs in the areas of diseases and treatments, offer our products as tailored solutions, and facilitate connections among relevant professionals to address those needs effectively.
Primary roles & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:-
Represent the brand team as the key contact point for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Medical Experts (MEs).
Share feedback from KOLs and customers with marketing, medical, and sales teams to contribute to strategic planning and tactical development.
Collaborate with marketing, medical, and co-promotion partners to propose appropriate criteria for scientific assessment of KOLs and speakers, compile a list, and manage it centrally.
Lead customer registration in Veeva CRM for identified KOLs.
Conduct scientific discussions during meetings with KOLs to contribute to the formation of product positioning. Also, lead the development of Advocators who disseminate appropriate information about the brand.
Collaborate with the sales team to support the development of speakers in regional areas. If necessary, personally visit the region to assist in the field speaker development.
Lead the dissemination of appropriate brand information through conferences, lectures, webinars, etc.
Work closely with the global team to plan and implement information dissemination from international KOLs.
Lead KOL engagement events, such as commercial advisory boards and speaker training, in collaboration with stakeholders.
Identify the needs of KOLs in the field of diseases and treatments, propose our products as solutions, and connect relevant professionals to meet their needs.
3+ years of experience in KOL management or KAM or Liaison
B.A. degree or higher, with science or business background preferred
Pharmaceutical and/or hematology/oncology experience are a plus.
Building trust-based relationships is the ability to establish long-term, trust-driven relationships with KOLs.
Scientific discussion skills is the capability to engage in medical and scientific discussions and effectively convey information.
Advanced English fluency is a must
Willingness to learn and execute many areas of marketing including brand planning, executing engagement programs, materials creation, forecasting and budget management, market research, and project management in a highly complex and dynamic environment.
Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand data and communicate and/or present information in a timely manner.
Ability to work with multiple internal Global and Japan cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Resourceful, decisive, and proactive approach to managing multiple priorities in a fast-growing organization.
High integrity and ethical standards
Valid permanent residency in Japan
Native-level Japanese in verbal, reading, and writing
