Description

The HR Business Partner provides high‑quality, proactive HR support to leaders and employees across a designated site or business area.


They handle complex employee relations matters, act as a trusted advisor to managers, and take ownership for local HR policy updates, site compliance activities, and people‑related initiatives.

This role bridges the space between tactical HR delivery and emerging strategic partnership — supporting culture, capability development, organisational change, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Employee Relations — Complex & Multi‑Stakeholder Cases

  • Lead and manage complex ER cases, including performance concerns, long‑term sickness, grievances, disciplinaries, and sensitive employee matters, ensuring legal compliance and documentation accuracy.
  • Provide coaching to managers on risk, options, and best practice, escalating only the highest‑risk issues to the Head of HR or Legal.
  • Ensure process consistency and robust case management practices, keeping up to date on evolving local legislation and updating policies to remain compliant
  • Identify root causes of systemic ER issues and establish initiatives which aim to solve root cause issues

Site-Level Policy Ownership & Compliance

  • Own and update site‑specific HR policies, ensuring alignment with global policies, local legal requirements, and organisational standards.
  • Lead site-wide HR audits, compliance checks, and mandatory documentation reviews (absence, training, certificates, Workday accuracy).
  • Partner with H&S, Legal, and local leaders to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Drive awareness and adoption of global HR processes across the site (performance, merit, talent, onboarding).

Manager Support & Coaching

  • Act as a trusted advisor to local managers, providing guidance on team dynamics, wellbeing, workload planning, inclusion, and employee motivation.
  • Build manager capability to handle ER issues, resolve conflicts, and implement good people leadership practices.
  • Reinforce Elekta’s values, leadership cornerstones, and expected behaviours.
  • HR Process Delivery & Local Implementation

  • Lead local delivery of global HR processes: merit, PDP, talent review, engagement cycles, onboarding/offboarding, organisational changes.
  • Provide market intel on to inform the benchmarking process and ensure pay equity
  • Attend and prepare information for internal and external audits
  • Ensure HR data integrity and strong execution of Workday transactions.
  • Provide insights on site-specific people trends and risks.
  • Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process, from requisition creation and sourcing to offer negotiation and onboarding collaboration.
  • Conduct thorough pre‑screening interviews, assessing both capability and cultural fit.
  • Ensure a consistently high‑quality candidate experience at every touch point.
  • Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
  • Build and maintain strong global talent pipelines, with a focus on diverse and critical skills.
  • Source through multiple channels, including professional networks, social platforms, and niche communities.
  • Govern and maintain the PSL for a select number of agencies for particularly niche positions
  • Foster long‑term relationships with past applicants and high‑potential talent.
  • Culture, Engagement & Wellbeing Initiatives

  • Lead site engagement activities, including pulse actions, wellbeing initiatives, local DEI conversations, and values-based programmes.
  • Support managers with wellbeing interventions, absence strategies, return‑to‑work plans, and early risk identification.
  • Drive local initiatives that reinforce Elekta’s desired culture and employee experience.
  • Change & Organisational Support

  • Support organisational design discussions by providing local insight into structure, capability, and people impacts.
  • Help leaders manage change through communication planning, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring smooth transition of people processes.
  • Coordinate site-level changes such as restructures, onboarding of new teams, or integration of new processes.
  • Collaboration with Global HR Teams

  • Work closely with People Services, Talent Acquisition, Reward, HRIS and other CoEs to deliver coherent HR services.
  • Ensure local insight is factored into global HR decision-making.
  • Escalate systemic issues to the Head of HR or People Partner Lead.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business administration, Economics or equivalent
  • Extensive HR partnering experience in a complex, matrixed, and international organisation.
  • Proven track record influencing leaders and driving strategic outcomes.
  • Experience in organisational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse data to provide insights and recommendations.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of core HR disciplines (talent, performance, development, organisational design, reward).
  • Ability to balance strategic work with hands‑on delivery.
  • Strong literacy with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and analytics tools.

Leadership & Interpersonal Competencies

  • High emotional intelligence and strong coaching capability.
  • Strong communication skills, able to simplify complexity and drive clarity.
  • Growth mindset, resilience, and comfort operating through ambiguity.

  • Salary:

    The US base salary range for this position is $120,000-$140.000
