Education and Experience Required:
Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) and three (3) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
Certifications, Licenses, or Registration required:
Valid Mississippi Driver’s License. Valid RN license, Critical Care Paramedic certification from the Mississippi Department of Health, or Paramedic certification from the Mississippi Department of Health. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association. FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 from the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) required post-hire within six (6) months.
Preferred Qualifications:
Patient access, flow, or care coordination experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of clinical practice and the triage of patients, and prioritization of care. Knowledge of care management and resource/utilization management. Knowledge and understanding of computer systems, tools and programs. Ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints. Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking skills. Understanding cost and quality issues. Verbal and written communication skills. Strong working knowledge of hospital flow and movement of patients.

Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, occasional exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional climbing, occasional crawling, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, occasional reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and frequent walking. (Occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more)
