Position Highlights:

  • Full Time/Part Time: 40 hours/part-time

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM

  • Travel: Highland Park Hospital and Swedish Hospital

What you will do:

Clinical Therapist will provide trauma-informed services to clients and their families using various therapeutic approaches and techniques (including but not limited to individual and group therapy, crisis intervention), psycho-education and support, and a comprehensive assessment of patient's psycho-social needs. They will also develop treatment plans and treatment plan reviews based on findings and according to department policy. They will also participate in weekly staff meetings, professional development/training, and team building activities and will take on other duties and/or projects as assigned.

All program staff for the proposed hospital-based violence intervention program (HVIP), Endeavor to Heal, have responsibilities that involve the provision of direct services to victims of crime. Depending on the specific responsibilities of a given staff member, those direct services include efforts that respond to the emotional, psychological, or physical needs of crime victims, assist victims to stabilize their lives after victimization, assist victims to understand and participate in the criminal justice system, and/or restore a measure of safety and security for the victim.

What you will need:

  • Education: Master's Degree Required

  • Certification: Current State of Illinois licensure with a minimum of four letters which may include LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LMFT (Licensed Marital & Family Therapist).

  • Experience: Minimum of two years post-graduate experience in the field of social work

  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)/ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), group therapy, solution focused therapy
