Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Record lease entries in accordance with ASC 842
- Responsible for the US general ledger which includes cash, prepaids, fixed assets ,accrual and payroll.
- Support accounting month end processes, which may include preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations in accordance with established close schedule
- Provide monthly balance sheet variance analysis and reporting
- Assist with ongoing account reconciliation and specific projects by reviewing and researching assigned accounts. Ensure the general ledger accounts are resolved and reconciled on a timely basis. This may entail the review of account reconciliations with management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to obtain transaction information, research reconciling items, and resolve issues
- Work with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary information to create monthly/quarterly accruals and ensure financial transaction are properly recorded
- Maintain records, supporting documentation in an organized manner
- Liaise with internal and external audit for mid-year and year-end audit support
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and controls
- Provide accounting support to the Controller and Managers on special projects and other duties as necessary
Required Experience/Skills:
- Fully in office position
- 8 to 10 years of experience in corporate / GL function or combination with public accounting experience
- Ability to prioritize workload to achieve on time accurate results
- Work in a structured manner and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision
- A sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
- Strong analytical skills with a holistic understanding of how accounting processes align with broader objectives
- Ability to be flexible and comfortable with changing requirements
- Effective communicator with ability to influence at all levels of an organization
- Detail-oriented with the ability to solve problems and implement best practices through teamwork and collaboration
- Experience with a large ERP system, Oracle Fusion a plus
- Ability to work with global and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with MS Excel
- Experience with tight deadlines and timeliness for work performed
- High attention to details and accuracy, excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
- Eagerness to learn and tackle challenges in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment
Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance. NYC generally ranges; $115,382-$144,227 CA generally ranges; $120,399-$150,499 All other locations fall under our General State range; $100,332-$125,415 Benefits may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Cloud Software Group and the country where you work.
