Position Description

We are seeking a Senior Business Developer / Account Manager for the German speaking Switzerland who will have a broad range of responsibilities that includes developing new client relationships and servicing existing accounts. This includes amongst others providing information about performance attribution, market performance and macroeconomic conditions, outlining the firm’s current outlook and strategy, developing investment objectives, and educating clients about a broad set of investment strategies, products and services. Main focus will be on GWM clients (coverage and business development of banks, family offices and independent asset managers). Direct reporting  line to the Head Switzerland.

Account managers specialize in the following areas:

Business Development

Responsible for developing client relationships with Swiss wholesale clients, particularly some larger private banks, regional- and cantonal banks, independent asset managers and family offices

Client Servicing

Responsible for fostering and strengthening existing client relationships with banks, independent asset managers and family offices

Desired Candidates Should Possess the Following Characteristics:

Passion for financial markets, macroeconomics and investment strategy

Ability to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing

Personable, ability to develop client relationships into strategic partnerships

Ethical, collaborative, organized, flexible, high-energy, self-starter, accountable, humble

Position Requirements

  • Several years of relevant experience business development experience in the German speaking part of Switzerland
  • University degree or similar
  • CFA Charterholder or equivalent preferred
  • Fluent in German (mother tongue) and English
  • Self-committed personality
  • Willing and able to work with a high degree of self-responsibility and able to deliver results
  • High willingness to travel (London)
  • Senior business developer and account manager with extensive local network in the German speaking Switzerland
