Integrated production planning & supplier capacity AM

Lead the end-to-end planning process from order intake and configuration to production scheduling and supplier capacity validation, ensuring a feasible, efficient, and reliable execution of customer demand aligned with Daimler Truck operational, financial, and delivery targets.


We are looking for: Integrated production planning & supplier capacity Assistant Manager

 

In this position, you will be in charge of:

 

Sales Configuration & Order Management

Ensure processing, validation, and release of sales orders in SAP according to customer requirements

Manage and maintain the integrity of the sales book aligned with Engineering and Commercial guidelines

Create and maintain product specifications and bill of materials (BOM)

Resolve cross-functional specification discrepancies


Production Planning & Scheduling

Develop and maintain the master production plan aligned with demand and capacity

Ensure feasibility between demand, internal capacities, and material availability

Coordinate cross-functional alignment with Sales, Engineering, Logistics, and Manufacturing

Monitor production plan adherence and on-time delivery (OTD) performance

Identify and manage operational constraints and bottlenecks


Supplier Capacity Management & Development

Lead supplier capacity management through supplier committee, ensuring timely decision-making under constraints

Evaluate and ensure supplier production capacity meets business requirements

Monitor supplier performance in terms of deliveries, capacity, and lead times

Identify and mitigate capacity-related risks across the supply chain

Develop and implement supplier capacity improvement plans

Aligning supplier capacity with production plans and demand


Continuous Improvement & Performance

Drive initiatives to improve plan stability, specification accuracy, and operational efficiency

Ensure achievement of key performance indicators (OTD, plan adherence, supplier performance)

Translate business strategic objectives into feasible production plans and capacity alignment across demand, specifications, and supply


*Ensure compliance with actions required to obtain and maintain applicable management systems

*Use IT/OT systems in accordance with SITS guidelines

*Always be in strict Alignment with current local and international applicable regulations, such as Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Daimler Truck Code of Conduct, as well as any other policy and procedure established for Daimler Truck.

 

  

Training:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or related field (master’s degree preferred)

 

Specific knowledge:

Advanced SAP knowledge (sales orders, BOM, MRP, scheduling modules); Forecasting and demand planning (AFAB), Production and , capacity planning, Supplier management and supply base understanding, Ability to interpret technical product specifications

Experience: +5 years of experience in production planning, order management, specifications, or supplier management within the automotive industry

Experience in cross-functional coordination and leadership within a manufacturing environment

 

Language: Fluent in English.

 

Working model: Onsite – 5 days at office

Local contract terms with Daimler Buses México Plant.
