We seek a result-oriented, agile, and talented Senior Project Management Manager who will report to the Chief of Staff for the CEO's Office.

The Role
The Sr Manager, Project Management is a critical role within the Office of the CEO at Hitachi Vantara (HV), responsible for acting as the primary interface with Hitachi Group businesses. This position focuses on coordinating cross-functional and cross-business to track key strategic meetings and deliverables to ensure the HV leadership team understands and meets timelines, requirements, and deadlines. The role is essential for ensuring HV operates efficiently and collaborates effectively with other Hitachi Group businesses.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Primary Interface with Japan: Serve as the main point of contact between HV Office of the CEO and Japanese counterparts, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
  • Strategic Meeting Tracking: Maintain a comprehensive tracking system for all key strategic meetings, ensuring all deadlines are met, and action items are followed up on.
  • Preparation Coordination: Organize and facilitate prep meetings with the HV leadership team to align timelines, requirements, and objectives for upcoming strategic engagements.
  • Communication Strategy: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure clear, consistent, and timely dissemination of project information to all stakeholders.
  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality content, including reports, presentations, newsletters, and other project-related documents, tailored to various audiences.
  • Governance Meeting Support: Help coordinate governance meeting preparations, including agenda setting, material collection and distribution, and follow-up to ensure thorough and productive discussions and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement processes to streamline meeting preparations and follow-ups, contributing to HV operations' overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Timely Reporting: Provide regular updates to the HV leadership team on the status of strategic initiatives and meeting preparations, highlighting any potential issues or delays.

Coordination Duties:

  • Coordinate between the office of the CEO, representing the Executive Committee (EC), and Japan coordinators across Hitachi Vantara, CSPBU, DSS, and Hitachi Ltd, and other Hitachi Group businesses as needed.
  • Manage the preparation calendar for Hitachi Limited Board of Director meetings, HV LLC Board of Director meetings, forecast reviews, investment reviews, and ad-hoc reviews called by senior leaders in the Hitachi business.
  • Assist the CEO and EC by scaling operations, offloading day-to-day management of review sessions, and coordinating calendars with executive assistants.

Primary Objectives:

  • Proactively understand the requirements for all key meetings.
  • Act as the single interface with Japan to streamline communication and ensure all parties are aligned on objectives and timelines.
  • Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HV’s strategic operations by ensuring thorough preparation and follow-up for all governance and strategic meetings.

What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international coordination, strategic planning, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, project management tools, and software.
  • Fluency in English and Japanese is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing complex initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and international stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts in those states that require it, the expected base salary for this position is:

Base Salary Range - $200K – $220K

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara’s bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
