Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.

Within the Grimbergen Distribution Center Operations Team, we are looking for a Logistics Process & Planning Analyst who provides day‑to‑day analytical and process support to warehouse and logistics operations.

The role focuses on logistics planning support, operational process improvement, data analysis and change enablement. You work closely with operational teams, supervisors and planners to help improve efficiency, accuracy and flow across warehouse activities.

The role supports maintaining an end‑to‑end view of warehouse operations and strengthening operational performance, process maturity and adaptability.
 

This position is designed as a development role, allowing the incumbent to gradually build operational insight and leadership capabilities in preparation for a future supervisory role within warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Planning & Operational Support

  • Provide day‑to‑day analytical support for warehouse operations, including slotting, availability, flow and workload planning

  • Collect, analyze and interpret operational data to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities

  • Support coordination between operations, planning, inventory, data and other supply chain functions

  • Assist supervisors and planners with data‑driven insights to improve efficiency and execution

Process Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the analysis, documentation and improvement of logistics and warehouse processes

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard work, procedures and process flows

  • Apply structured problem‑solving techniques to address operational and process issues

  • Support the implementation and adoption of process improvements and operational changes

Data & Reporting

  • Collect, analyze and report data related to logistics and warehouse performance

  • Work with existing systems and reports to ensure data accuracy and usability

  • Translate data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for operational teams

Change Support & Projects

  • Support change initiatives related to logistics processes, planning or system improvements

  • Contribute to operational projects such as slotting optimization, yard management and process standardization

  • Support training and knowledge transfer to enable adoption of new ways of working

Development Towards Supervisory Responsibility

  • Build understanding of operational leadership, workforce coordination and daily execution routines

  • Develop communication, coaching and problem‑solving skills in an operational context

  • Gradually prepare for increased responsibility within warehouse operations

Work Schedule

  • Rotating 3‑shift system:

    • Day shift

    • Early shift (06:00 – 14:00)

    • Late shift (14:00 – 22:00)

  • Regular on‑floor presence is required due to the operational nature of the role.

Required Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills

  • Ability to accurately collect, analyze and interpret operational data

  • Good planning, organizing and coordination skills

  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, and ability to work across teams

  • Accurate, structured and detail‑oriented way of working

  • Flexible and adaptable mindset in a changing operational environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain, planning or data analysis

  • Experience or interest in process improvement and change management

  • First exposure to people support, coaching or operational coordination

  • Ambition to grow into a supervisory / team lead role

  • Familiarity with WMS, slotting tools or logistics systems

  • Interest in continuous improvement and data‑driven operations
