Senior Software Engineer – Platform as a Service (PaaS)

Meet the Team 

You will join the Platform as a Service (PaaS) team, the backbone of our digital infrastructure. We manage a diverse ecosystem of platforms, including API Gateways like Mule and Mashery, messaging systems like Kafka, and other middleware systems. As a senior member of this team, you will lead the evolution of our internal platforms, driving the transition toward No-Ops and AIOps to ensure our infrastructure is as intelligent as it is scalable.

Your Impact 

You will take ownership of the full-stack lifecycle of our platform offerings. From designing intuitive UI/UX interfaces for platform consumers to architecting the backend services that power our initiatives, your work will directly impact client productivity and system reliability.

You will lead technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and champion architectural standards that allow us to scale seamlessly.

• Platform Architecture: Design and maintain scalable PaaS solutions, including API Gateways (Mashery, Mule) and Kafka messaging clusters.

• Full Stack Development: Build and maintain platform portals and dashboards using UI/UX technologies (Angular, React, Figma) and robust backend services (Python, Go).

• Operational Excellence: Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Argo CD, and Argo Workflows to ensure seamless delivery and deployment.

• AI/ML & AIOps: Drive the migration toward AIOps and No-Ops by integrating ML models to automate monitoring, incident response, and infrastructure optimization.

• System Design & Ownership: Lead complex system design sessions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all platform layers.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a technical lead, conducting code reviews, establishing best practices, and mentoring junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between infrastructure, SRE, and software engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• On-Call Support: Provide proactive on-call support for platform services, ensuring high availability and rapid resolution of operational issues to maintain service level objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record in full-stack development and platform engineering, including 2+ years in machine learning-related roles.

• Expertise in building modern, user-centric interfaces using React or Angular, supported by Figma design workflows.

• Deep proficiency in Python and/or Go for backend service development.

• Experience managing and optimizing Postgres and MongoDB databases.

• Advanced skills in CI/CD automation with Jenkins, Argo CD, and Argo Workflows, with a good understanding of Kubernetes-based deployment solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience with Kubernetes and good understanding of API Gateways (e.g., Mashery, Mule) and messaging platforms (Kafka).

• Experience with building AI products and workflows, including LLMs, LangChain, RAG systems, and agentic frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience in AI/ML for automating day-to-day operational workloads.

• Ability to architect distributed systems that are resilient, observable, and easy to maintain.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
