The Automotive Advanced Technology (AAT) Group is a team of experienced research engineers creating technology innovations in the field of automotive electrification and sustainable energy.
To extend our team we are looking for a versatile engineer, to assist with research, development and prototyping of various technologies. The applicant must be able to model systems, design PCB’s, build test environments to gather data and emulate real-world scenarios, etc. Ability to program embedded microcontrollers and FPGA’s is an advantage.
Typical responsibilities
Develop Python/Matlab models
Building lab-based setup using eval-boards and lab equipment to prototype and make realistic measurements
Develop custom PCB’s to integrate setup into a demonstratable platform
Prototype firmware and work with software & algorithms teams to get firmware implemented
Automate bench measurements and gather software
Qualifications
Engineering Degree, 5+ years of experience in automotive/electronics industry as a product eval, applications or systems applications engineer
System Prototyping in Matlab/Simulink, Python or similar.
Scripting and Automation skills using languages such as Labview or Python
Good working knowledge of microcontrollers and C
Good working knowledge of Verilog & FPGA’s
PCB design experience using tools like Cadence Allegro
Power Electronics experience an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent in English
Strong team player capable of working in a multi-location international team
Able to work effectively within global organization with complex matrix structures and cross functional teams
Understands and can articulate where work goals tie into the organization’s objectives
Awareness of organization’s competitive markets and position
Continuously seeks to improve functional and professional skills and knowledge
