Responsibilities

Oaktree’s Performance & Reporting team is seeking an individual to join our team out of our Los Angeles office to work on our Control Strategies: Special Situations and Power Opportunities. Together with our team-lead in LA this individual will partner with the Investment Team, Product Specialists, and Accounting to produce portfolio management dashboards, prepare client reports and prospect materials in a consistent and accurate manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver analyses, dashboards and reports to the Investment Team, prospects, consultants and clients related to the positions invested by various Oaktree’s strategies located in Los Angeles;
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on these strategies and resource to the Investment Team, Product Specialists, Marketing Representatives and Client Services;
  • Evolve our reporting suite in response to, and in anticipation of, new strategies, client and industry demands for our closed-end and evergreen strategies;
  • Master system technology to learn to source data and create new data extracts for various Oaktree portfolios, and to increase efficiency on various reporting

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience at an Asset Management company, Investment Bank or other financial services company.
  • Experience utilizing SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS) to create standardized reports or dashboards. Experience with Python is a plus.
  • Familiarity with private equity investing especially with secondary market debt (distress-for-control). Knowledge on public markets a plus as well
  • Knowledge of relevant reporting/dashboard outputs and metrics including performance reporting, risk metrics and portfolio characteristics.
  • Familiarity with different portfolio aggregation perspectives: Region/Country breakdown, industry breakdown
  • Comfortable working with Portfolio Managers, prospects and clients to understand and define reporting requirements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required.

Base Salary Range

$105,000 - $125,000

In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement.  The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
