DigitalOcean seeks a Developer Relations Intern to become integral to our Global Developer Advocacy division. Our Developer Advocates are pivotal conduits amongst our users, internal spheres such as developer community, product marketing, product development, and the broader developer ecosystem. As a Developer Relations Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our developer community, creating engaging content, and assisting with various developer-focused initiatives, propelling the uptake of DigitalOcean solutions while influencing product innovation and feature enhancement with actionable insights.

As a Developer Relations Intern, your primary responsibility will be to create technical content, including code, demos, and videos, to engage and support our developer community. The ideal candidate is a proactive and hands-on professional. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a Computer Science educational background who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in developer relations and community engagement. 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Building and maintaining open-source projects and demos leveraging DO stack
  • Assist in creating compelling technical video content, blog posts, tutorials, and sample code to educate and inspire developers  
  • Developer community engagement on Discord, Reddit

What We’ll Expect From You:

  • 1-2 years of software development experience
  • Hands-on builder 
  • Persistent 'Day 1' attitude, marked by urgency, enthusiasm, and a results-driven approach.
  • Technical video content creation experience is a plus
  • Conference speaking experience is a plus.

You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance.
