Wayfair’s Physical Retail team is seeking a Senior Assortment Operations Associate on the Curated Brands & Stores Operations (CB&S) team to help drive Wayfair’s physical retail agenda. We believe there is a white space in the brick-and-mortar market and an opportunity to create a differentiated retail experience that showcases the breadth and depth of our catalog. The Senior Assortment Operations Associate will play a key role in bringing our physical retail vision to life for our in-store customers and ensuring a seamless omnichannel customer experience as we stand up and scale stores across North America.

The CB&S Operations team is responsible for developing and project managing the processes that support cross-functional partners in the selection and in-store merchandising of products carried in physical retail stores. The function of CB&S Operations is to be the enabler for Merchants to effectively launch seasonal assortment selections in our physical retail stores and display them in a way that entices customers to purchase. This involves executing the go-to-market calendar, building stream-lined cross-functional processes, and implementing tools to realize the growth of physical retail.

This role will support the merchandising operating model for all brands under the Wayfair LLC umbrella. They support the roadmap that helps bring these stores to life with a high-level of cross-functional partnership with Merchants, Planning and Allocation, Visual Merchandising and Store Operations. We are seeking a data-driven, process-oriented project manager who loves building and innovating in white space, is equally comfortable in strategy and execution, and is innately curious.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage display sample ordering processes and systems that enable product to be sold in a physical retail environment
  • Bring visions for the customer experience to life, specifically through sourcing swatches for display on the retail floor
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Merchants, Swatches, Planning & Allocation, PR Ops, and Store Operations to drive and adhere to internal processes and timelines related to the seasonal assortment calendar
  • Find efficiencies in and constantly improve processes and ways of working as insights and capabilities develop
  • Utilize data-driven business insights to develop recommendations and prioritize tasks

What You Need:

  • 2+ years executing strategic plans and working cross-functionally with multiple teams, merchants and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Excel and Google Sheets and data visualization tools
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with tight deadlines
  • Experience managing or curating product assortments and swatches
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to influence cross-functionally
  • Ability to “hit the ground running” – a self-starter capable of achieving specific target goals
  • Evidence of “scrappy start-up execution” and a “get it done” attitude when time is tight and stakes are high
  • Thrives in a high growth, ambiguous environment
